Szumma is a Hungarian-developed digital financial assistant application that automatically organises, categorises and analyses users’ banking transactions.

Its purpose is to provide financial transparency, expense tracking, recognition of spending habits and simple support for financial decisions.

Szumma’s automatic categorisation feature classifies transactions on three levels, for example Expense → Transport → Fuel.

The model determines the category from transaction metadata, the merchant name and previous patterns.

Szumma’s Financial Assistant (PFM) module collects, organises and visualises financial data: expenses, income, trends, categories, periods and balances.

Its role is to provide an understandable overview of your finances without making decisions.

Intelligent budgeting analyses the user’s previous spending and automatically suggests monthly limits.

The feature uses notifications to indicate overspending, an approaching limit or a budget that is being kept successfully.

Pockets are Szumma’s balance management module.

It manages in one place:

• bank account balances, synchronised automatically,
• manual and cash pockets,
• complete balance trends.

Its purpose is to provide a consolidated financial overview.

The investable-funds detection feature monitors account balances and indicates when a larger amount is available, for example after salary is received or when saving potential arises.

It does not provide investment advice; it only recognises when “there is something available to set aside”.

Szumma does not open TBSZ long-term investment accounts and does not make investment recommendations.

It does, however, notify you when saving potential arises, helping you consider the possibility of transferring savings to a TBSZ account.

Szumma’s cashback system identifies eligible purchases from the user’s banking transactions according to partner merchants’ offers.

Cashback is automatic and does not require a coupon or QR code.

The charts visually show:

• monthly changes in income and expenses,
• spending by category,
• balance trends.

The goal is to recognise patterns, not to test your data analysis skills.

Szumma operates according to bank-level security protocols.

It has read-only access to bank accounts and cannot initiate transactions or move money.
